Foundation Crack Injection Repair –

This term is used and many flags raise for people. What does that mean? What all does that entail? What products are used? How does the repair process even work?

We created a brief “Behind the Scenes” video for you to lay eyes on. 

A Foundation Crack can be repaired interior and/or exterior depending on the circumstances of the crack itself. Jaco applies an adhesive to secure the surface ports in place and to cover the foundation crack along your wall.  – This adhesive is something Jaco receives multiple questions on. After the repair is complete and cured, as directed by your technician, you are able to remove that paste / adhesive. Customers see the grey “blob” of paste on their wall and worry it will never look the same. This is incorrect, your wall can look even better (and better yet will be dry!). Once the paste and ports are removed you are able to put drywall over this area or even paint directly over this as well. –  Once the adhesive is applied, our next step is to inject a urethane material into the crack to stop the water from coming into your basement. This urethane is injected in as a liquid that then chemically reacts with the water within the crack and expands. The urethane turns into a foam material which will fill the entire length and depth of the crack. That’s it. We repaired your foundation crack and even provided you with a Crack Injection Warranty!

Now just like anything in today’s world, not everything is the same. Maybe you have a structural issue and this repair is a little more extensive. But even in that case Jaco can help give you the knowledge you need on which repair is the best fit.
