1. Use the Weights

Use the heaviest weight that you can handle to perform three sets of 10 squats and 10 lunges on each side. Work your upper body by performing three sets of 15 dumbbell curls. Break up these workouts with two minutes of pushups and jumping jacks to get your heart going.

2. Step on the Treadmill

Then, increase the incline to 1% and walk for a minute before lowering it back down and running for a minute. Take the incline up 2% and walk for two minutes before bringing it back down to 1% and running for two minutes. Raise the incline to 3%, walk for three minutes, then lower it to 1% and run for more three minutes, and so forth. This is an excellent way to replicate an outdoor running and walking session indoors.

3. Do a HIIT Session

A high-intensity interval training session can really get your heart going, and it’s simple to do in the fitness center. All you need is some floor space and a mid-weight dumbbell, along with a stopwatch.

Begin with 10 dumbbell lunges, alternating from leg to leg, followed by six burpees and 10 dumbbell thrusters. To complete the latter move, hold the weights at your shoulders and squat, then raise your arms up as you slowly stand. Do these three maneuvers in rapid succession for at least 10 minutes.
