Windows 7 has had a good run and has been a great operating system but all good things must come to an end.

Windows 7 came out in 2009 and has been in use for over 10 years now and was a giant leap from the horrid Windows Vista (which was only released 3 years earlier). It seems that every other version of Windows has been a letdown (for example, Windows 8).

There were a few different versions of Windows 7 that were launched and were specifically made for home, office and enterprise users. Microsoft did a good job with Windows 7 and made a plethora of improvements over the operating system’s lifetime.

Windows 10 has now taken over the PC world and is the dominant operating system for the majority of Windows users. Some of the system requirements are higher than previous Windows versions but computer component prices have come down a lot over the past 10 years.

You can still use Windows 7 but Microsoft will no longer provide technical support, software updates, security updates and fixes after January 14, 2020.

Stay secure and upgrade to Windows 10. SysQuick can check the system specifications of your computer and make any recommended upgrades before we upgrade you to Windows 10.

We look forward to helping you with your upgrade and keeping your system safe and secure.

Happy New Year and we hope to see you soon!
