If the winter weather has you feeling blue, it may be time to pack up the swimwear and sandals and head somewhere warm. There are a ton of different destinations to consider depending on your time constraints and budget. Here are a few to consider if you’re looking for a warm-weather vacation.

Where to Travel With the Family This Winter

1. San Diego

San Diego has plenty of kid-friendly activities, from the zoo to theme parks like LEGOLAND® and SeaWorld®. You can also explore the city’s shopping district and restaurants while enjoying some relaxing downtime at your hotel pool.

2. Maui

For those with a bit more travel time available, Maui is an amazing destination. You can hit the beach, enjoy a luau, or relax at your hotel pool and kids’ club, all while enjoying unique food and culture that you can’t find on the mainland. Children will love snorkeling and dolphin experiences. If they’re too little for these activities, take them to the aquarium at Maui Ocean Center to see a living reef and a turtle lagoon.

3. Grand Cayman

swimwearIf you want to go somewhere outside the U.S., Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands tends to be fairly affordable for an international trip, and it’s close to the coast of Florida, so it’s not a long flight if you’re on the East Coast. You can relax on the beach or explore the local ecosystem on guided tours with the whole family.

4. Tucson

If you love spending time in nature, consider Tucson as your warm weather destination. You can take the family on hikes, visit dude ranches, and even take in some of the city’s museums. Then wind down with a visit to your hotel pool in the evening.

If you’re looking for new swimwear for your getaway, check out the selection at MiniMe Bikini. The site offers products to families in NYC, Honolulu, Miami, LA, and everywhere in between.
