  • Hepatitis A, B, and E
  • Yellow fever
  • Tuberculosis
  • Polio
  • HPV
  • Tetanus

  • Influenza

You can discuss requirements at a medical clinic and consult the Centers for Disease Control database. Travel vaccinations are required for both children and adults.

When to Get Them

You should vaccinate at least one month before your departure date. Your body will need time to build up an immunity, and you may also need to get several doses over a series of weeks. There may be other factors to consider, as well. For example, the yellow fever vaccine is often offered at larger medical centers only and will need to be administered at least 10 days before travel.

Planning well in advance also gives you time to discuss vaccinations with your physician and to schedule a checkup at a medical clinic.
