We included the Brazil bean to attain a rich and frothy crema and full mouthfeel, and we combined that with a beautiful Mexican Chiapas bean to achieve tangy and bright acidity. Finally, Sumatra adds depth, earthy cocoa undertones, and lingering aftertaste that gives this medium roast some heft. All of the beans in this blend are 100% Specialty Grade Arabica – no cheap filler. $6.99/pound Espresso Light Blend - New The challenge with a light espresso roast is to find a combination of 100% Specialty Grade Arabica beans that produce great coffee flavor without pucker-inducing tartness. We think we have a winner here. As with all good Espresso blends we started with a base of Brazil to add some crema and rich mouthfeel (even at a lighter roast). To this we added the bright and mild acidity of Mexican Chiapas, and found that combining a fine Colombian Excelso bean gave it a sweet and savory flavor without any residual sour notes. The golden amber hues of this elegant espresso blend are beautiful to look at, and even better to taste. $5.99/pound Our Kona Blend captures the velvety taste and mouthfeel of Kona, but imparts a very nice nutty taste derived from the Costa Rican bean which is the base of this blend.
