It seems every year when the weather turns cold, we get in the “I miss my boat” doldrums. Though anything short of transplanting to South Florida will completely cure them, there are some things you can do to help curb the emptiness of not being on the water.

Three Ways to Beat the Winter Boating Blues

1. Winter Boat shows

Whether you are in the market to purchase a new boat, or just getting out to enjoy all the new innovations, boat shows are a great outing to enjoy with the family. Along with all of the latest models of boats, there are several very informative seminars on a wide range of boating and fishing topics.

Stop the Lewis Boats Booth #4104 at the St. Louis Boat & Sports Show January 30th thru February 2nd at The Americas Center and Edward Jones Dome.

2. Youtube

Aside from popular opinion, youtube is not just for kids to spend hours watching mindless dribble.

There are thousands of videos on everything from maintenance and care to how to operate that new GPS you got for Christmas. It is a great way to brush up any area you feel you may be lacking in your boating experience. Be sure to visit and subscribe to our Lewis Boats Youtube channel.

3. Organizing and acquiring gear

One thing we can all agree on, being well organized before your next outing will make the day on the water that much more enjoyable.

There is nothing worse than getting miles away from the dock to find that the one thing you need the most is back at the condo or cabin. So take some time this winter to make a list and check it twice before spring rolls around. For any of the items, you might be missing stop by our parts department for all of your boating accessory needs.
