STAY UPDATED ON THE WEATHER FORECAST

Like the Post Office we move no matter the weather!  Rain, sleet or snow will not keep us from performing your move.

Road conditions, rain storms/sleet may cause some delays but unless it’s declared a Weather Emergency we will arrive on move day!  Whether it is a local or interstate move we will do our best to arrive on time.

MAKE SURE UTILITIES ARE TURNED ON

You would be surprised how this step can be missed.  It’s hard to deliver into a basement with no lights!

CLEAR YOUR DRIVEWAY & SIDEWALKS AT BOTH HOMES

This will keep your floors cleaner and save you $$$.  You do not want your movers waiting around while you do the work!  Remember this is a safety issue and your home is the crew’s “workplace”.

CLEAR SNOW FROM OUTDOOR ITEMS OR PUT THEM IN THE GARAGE A FEW DAYS BEFORE YOUR MOVE.

Movers cannot pad items that are wet so they cannot be protected.

PLAN TO WASH FLOORS ASAP

The movers will use carpet shield and cardboard but snow and salt will stick to shoes/boots.  If your move calls for a large crew they may be able to keep some men inside while some run from the truck.  On a two man move they have no choice but to move it all themselves.

Have a small cleaning kit prepared with a mop, towels and floor/carpet cleaner to handle spots right away.

DO NOT PLUG IN ELECTRONICS OR APPLIANCES RIGHT AWAY

Allow all electronics and appliances to come to room temperature.  If you have hired a third party to handle servicing of certain appliances (washers) and the items have been on the truck longer than a day than any water could be frozen in the pumps/hoses.  Make sure to allow at least 24 hours for these items to come to room temperature before running.

MOVING IS HARD ON A GOOD DAY – BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS CAN MAKE IT DANGEROUS AND MISERABLE.   BE PREPARED!

CALL WAGONER MOVING FOR YOUR LOCAL MOVING AND LONG DISTANCE RELOCATIONS!!!  WE HANDLE COMMERCIAL AND WAREHOUSING NEEDS AS WELL.
