Coryell Health invites the community to a special open house event on Thursday afternoon that will preview the expansion project for the health system. The facility includes a 25-bed hospital, 4 operating rooms and a variety of patient care centers.

“We are thrilled that our vision of expanding our community medical center here in Gatesville has come to fruition,” said David Byrom, CEO of Coryell Health. “The new hospital is first and foremost our community’s hospital. The open house is an opportunity for us to welcome in our local community first, before opening the doors for patients later this year.”

“The event features unprecedented access for the general public to go behind the scenes of the hospital and operating rooms before we open – some of those areas will ultimately be restricted access,” said Carly Latham, Coryell Health Director of Marketing. “The guided tours will give visitors a firsthand look at the delivery of modern medicine provided right here in Gatesville -- including our Zimmer Biomet Surgical Robot for orthopedic surgery.
