Every person is unique; so why do so many fitness programs only offer one-size-fits-all options? At Body Unique in Brooklyn, NY, they believe that your fitness should focus on your goals. That’s why they created the Essentials Membership program—fitness without the gimmicks. Say goodbye to the days of doing endless cardio and strength training without results. Instead, let Body Unique create a personal training program that works for you. The Essentials Program is a great supplement and complement to their semi-private and one-on-one training programs.
There are three goal-specific, group fitness classes in the Essentials Program:
- Metabolic Conditioning (Met-Con): Met-Con is a more effective, dynamic, three-dimensional, and fun way to do cardio. Unlike the typical rows of machines, Met-Con classes have been crafted to help you ignite fat burning by using all planes of motion. Even better, Met-Con uses your own body weight to get results; however, TRX, ropes, ViPR, kettle bells, and machine balls can be used too.
- PiYo: If you like to sweat, then PiYo is for you. It’s a strength fusion program that combines short bursts of cardio with strength training. The key to PiYo is its ability to incorporate balance, dance, plyometrics, strength, and function training all into one workout; this class emphasizes the athleticism of Pilates and yoga. To keep it relaxed, it’s a barefoot class with yoga mats included.
- Body Insane: If you’re looking for max interval training and full-body cardio, look no further. Get ready to be pushed past your limits in Body Insane with plyometric drills mixed with intervals of strength, power resistance, and core training. No equipment or weights are needed for Body Insane. You’ll be constantly challenged just with long bursts of maximum-intensity exercises and short periods of rest.
