Hi everyone,

I’d like to talk about attendance.  October and November are historically the least attended classes of the year.  Back to school and school sports hits parents hard.  Then there is hunting season, last-minute vacations, Thanksgiving and the snowblower still needs the oil changed.  It’s a busy time for us Minnesotans.

Now it’s December – Cyber Monday and all the things that go along with Christmas.  It’s a busy time.

Our morning people have hardly missed a beat.  They’ve been burning calories all along and their strength and fitness are growing.  Yes, they might have missed a class or two but it’s business as usual.  The alarm clock rings and they get up.  Much respect to them – it’s not easy to get up that early.

The afternoon/evening people have a much harder time getting to class.  So many things can jump up and get in the way.  They may have every intention of getting to class but something always seems to come up.  They may have missed quite a few classes and are feeling sluggish, stiff and unmotivated.  Or they seem to be getting more and more tired after work and it’s getting harder to get off the couch.  There are half a million “life things” that can get in the way but here is where we have to draw a line.   “We are what we repeatedly do.”  If we want to be fit, healthy and look good naked J, we need to get to class at least 3 times per week.  Repeat.  Making your CrossFit nights an absolute priority is the way to make it happen.  It’s on the schedule so it gets done.  You know you will fire up those “feel good” endorphins. You know you will sleep better.  You know you will be burning calories and getting stronger.  You know you will have that satisfying stiffness the next day.  You know you will feel better, happier and more accomplished - wow, that’s good stuff J

The second sentence of the quote is, “Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.”  Let’s make your health and fitness the habit that never gets broken.  You will be glad you did!
