Hokkaido is an island in Japan that’s well-known for its ski areas and hot springs. It’s also famous for its rich and creamy dairy products as well as flour. 1. Yumechicara Bread. Bread of dreams.

Yume in Japanese means “Dream” . It is made with 100% Yume flour imported from Hokkaido. This bread's really soft and tender and slightly sweet. Dream bread is called in Japan. Try a fresh slice, and you will know instantly why its called like this.

 

2. Brug Layer

A Brug Bakery specialty, this bread is made with Mainz flour that’s imported from Hokkaido exclusively for BRUG. It has a spongy texture and an earthy rustic appearance. It tastes great on its own, but also creates a loaf perfect for enjoying with spreads or baking with cheese. Our founder created this loaf to enjoy alongside with European wines and cheeses.

2. Brug Layer Mainz

This twist on the beloved Brug Layer adds walnuts and figs to the shop’s beloved Mainz-flour mix. It’s best served when sliced and toasted. "Made to order only." 

4. Haiga Bread 

Another healthy option, this loaf contains no milk or eggs. It has an earthy, nutty flavor, very soft texture. Its made out of nutritious wheat germ that’s imported from Hokkaido. Its the first bread that we baker every morning and the first one to arrive at our shelves. When you arrive early to the store and smells bread, you’re smelling our Hokkaido wheat germ.
