If you wear contact lenses, you have a daily eye care routine, which can get neglected during the holiday season, especially when you’re traveling. These tips will help you stay on track and ensure your lenses and supplies are easily accessible.

Do:

Keep contact lenses and supplies in the same place.

Keeping all of your eye care supplies in the same bag will ensure you have everything you need each day of your trip. Remember to pack your solution, a case, and extra lenses. If you wear daily disposable lenses, bring enough for the entire trip.

Bring a pair of glasses.

There’s always a risk of losing your supplies or being unable to wear your lenses. Take a pair of glasses as a backup so you can enjoy your trip with clear vision.

Don’t:

Forget to read the TSA rules.

contact lensesYou should pack contact lens supplies in your carry-on bag to reduce the risk of losing them. However, TSA regulations restrict how much lens solution you can bring and how it must be packed. At most, you can bring a 3.4-ounce container.

Skip your daily routine.

Just because you’re on a trip doesn’t mean you should neglect proper eye care. If you wear disposable lenses, discard them according to instructions. If you use weekly or monthly lenses, clean and soak them every day.
