1. Earl Anthony

A left-handed bowler who won the PBA Player of the Year award six times, Anthony was a Wisconsin native who started bowling in the early 1970s. With 43 career titles, he has been credited with increasing the popularity of the sport and was the first to reach $1 million in lifetime PBA earnings.

2. Walter Ray Williams Jr.

bowlingA California native with the nickname “Deadeye,” Williams currently holds a record-setting 47 standard PBA Tour career titles. He’s earned over $4.9 million as of July 2019 and is still active on the PBA Tour. 

3. Mike Aulby

One of five bowlers to win both a Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year award, Aulby started playing professionally in 1978 and has 29 titles to his name. He was the first bowler in history to have won at least one regular PBA Tour title in four different decades. He was also a two-time winner of the Steve Nagy Sportsmanship award, created in honor of one of the founding members of the League.

4. Mark Roth

Currently retired and known for his “cranker” style that resulted in incredibly high speeds and scores, Roth made history by being the first professional bowler to convert a 7-10 split on national television. Active from 1970 to 2009, he finished his career with over $1 million in earnings and 34 titles.

5. Pete Weber

One of the League’s most active players, Weber is known for his side rotation and high backswings. Bowling professionally since 1979, he is among the two bowlers in history to have 100 total awards, and has won over $4 million throughout his career.
