We all have electronics that have become the staple of our “Don't throw it out yet” storage space. Selling used, broken, or vintage electronics has never been easier!

The first thing you always want to do is test your device for usability.

  1. See if the device powers on. (Listen for beeps, buzzing, or other “weird” noises, and make note of them. (Being as transparent with a buyer will always bring you the best selling/buying experience and it says both you the seller, and the buyer time)
  2. Check for any and all Data. (The data on your device is most likely old or useless, but its always better to make sure your not giving away personal data, and who knows maybe you'll find a nice memory or two!)
  3. Research, research, and research. Research what the value of your product is, here at Experimax we always offer fair prices on our Apple iPhone, Macbook, and other Deivices. Not everyone is trustworthy though!
  4. Make sure you have realistic expectations for the price you are wanting on the device you're selling. Just because an iPad Gen. 6 sells for $300 on refurbished sellers websites or stores, does not mean your getting anything close to that price. (business are in the business of making money, not paying retail!)
  5. Always double check that your device is wiped clear of all data and personal info.
  6. Come to Experimax. W specialize in Apple, but we also buy back all electronics, and if its not worth buying, we offer free recycling services to all!

There are many things to consider when buying, selling, or trading electronics. Save yourself the time, the trouble, and the sketchy deals by contacting Experimax Orland Park, and Always shop local!
