If a private Jeep® tour will be part of your upcoming Maui experience, the Road to Hana offers awe-inspiring views you’ll cherish forever. This road connects Kahului to Hana, and it includes 600 curves and 59 bridges. Here are some of the most spectacular places to go to during this famous drive.

5 Incredible Stops on the Road to Hana

1. Twin Falls

Located at Mile Marker 2, Twin Falls offers a quick and easy waterfall hike. You’ll find the first waterfall after five minutes of walking, and encounter the main waterfall spilling over a cave 20 minutes into the walk. If you want a drink or a snack before continuing on your private Jeep tour, there’s a farm stand selling smoothies, coconut water, native fruit, and banana bread nearby.

2. Garden of Eden

If you’re stopping for a few minutes, the valley and Rainbow and Keopuka Rock provide plenty of snap-worthy views.

3. Keanae Peninsula

You’ll find this lush peninsula on the Road to Hana’s halfway point, or Mile Marker 16.5. Watch North Shore waves crash into jagged black rocks, or experience the half-mile hike through the Keanae Arboretum, where you’ll spot ferns, rainbow eucalyptus trees, and heliconias, which look like hanging lobster claws.

4. Waianapanapa State Park

Mile Marker 32 offers stunning views via Waianapanapa State Park. This park includes a scenic coastal hiking trail that overlooks black sand beaches and the largest wild hala grove in Hawaii, as well as views of freshwater sea caves, arches, and cliffs.

5. Wailua Falls

Located at Mile Marker 44.5, the most-photographed falls in Maui reach 80 feet high and spill over a beautiful jungle. Even if you don’t have time to swim in the temperate pools below this epic waterfall, you can take plenty of envy-worthy photos from your Jeep.
