I’ve been a patient of both Dr BHOIWALA & his daughter, Dipti Bhoiwala for the past 4 plus yrs with multiple severe health conditions that unfortunately have lead to hospital visits to NYC. Not only did they (Dr B & Dr D) get me to Mount Sinai hospital (something both my GI & GI surgeon were not successful in doing), they both stayed up on my care, in touch with me while I was there under other doctor care. after discharge Dipti has continued (to this day) helped me navigate the complex path of getting home from an extended hospital stay, helped with my at home long term medical care, help me coordinate all my medical specialist & she takes HER time to help me sort through all the new medical information I received from said specialist. Both Dipti and her dad have helped me in ways many physicians hadn’t been able to for the years upon years. Which started with them being honest with me, following through, not tell me fairy tales, be invested in me as a person not just a patient, listen to me, understand I know my body also, not everybody works the same, just to name a few of the ways they differed and why I rate their practice 4 stars. When I do make it into the office it feels like walking into my favorite corner coffee shop, everyone smiles, greets me by name, asks how my kids are. I’ve never had any issues with waiting times (is a walk-in on call as well as practice), no rudeness from any staff, and I’ve never felt like I was money instead of a patient. As I looked through some of the other reviews before posting I was caught off guard. On a day a less than positive review was written & posted about, I was in a chair waiting for my appointment. The only reason I know I was for sure there was this person kept saying their name over & over as if that somehow was the issue. This person perception of what happened and mine (along with every other person in the building at the time) differs drastically. Many eye rolls and sighs exchanged. We all have to wait for our appointments, that we had set up. This person felt/still feels they should be able to walk off the street without an appointment, skip ahead of us waiting for patients (who are already established patients of the practice), this person was not there for for an on-call type of service (which I also know only because this person was speaking loudly about the reason as well) and when things start to not go as they hoped they began to berate, verbally become abusive, louder, then the racist comments began. This person was ushered to the back (I think for our benefit, as well as the women at the front desk and so no one knocked this person out for their outrageous behavior & actions). Things must have continued to go about the same, I can’t say for sure, but there was still a lot of loud unkind words that could be made out. I just wanted to set that record straight, since I was there on that day and it was not at ALL like their review. This person’s actions seemed like that of an angry person, angry they didn’t get their way on their timeline. Instead of dealing with the issue they just got angrier, and took it out on the people who were trying to help. Dr B & Dr D go beyond for their people, us patients talk amongst each other while we wait, haha, and from the ones I’ve spoken with they have had the same experiences & share the same affection for everyone at the office. I spend lots of time in doctors' offices & speak with many patients about many doctors, Dr Bhoiwala and his daughter's care. It shows in how their patients speak of them, in the lengths they are willing & have gone to for me with my care. Without Dipti I wouldn’t be here to raise my kids, I wouldn’t understand 1/4 of my medical issues, would have blindly continued to say yes to whatever any of the specialists suggested/could have ended up with even more issues that are not reversible, I would have had test/procedures that would have been damaging  in the long run & I would not have any of the daily care I desperately needed to be able to function at home.
