This October, the Sounds of Success: Preschool and Learning Center in Aiea, HI, organized a field trip for its students to visit the Waimanalo Farms Pumpkin Patch. This excursion gave the preschool students an opportunity to learn about farming as well as where their food comes from.

Before the field trip, the preschoolers learned about autumn, pumpkins, and farm animals. This field trip was designed to give the students a hands-on experience to enhance their in-class lessons.

At the farm, the preschoolers picked pumpkins to take home, enjoyed a fall hayride, and interacted with cuddly animals at the petting zoo. By attending this fall-themed event, the students can now visualize the farming process and better understand why it’s important to their daily lives.
