High winds are expected for Friday and may cause some outages around town.  Here are a couple things you can do to prepare your gas fireplace insert for a power outage.

  1. Make sure you have the pilot lit and in the CPI (constant pilot) setting on your remote.
  2. Check the batteries in the remote and find the instructions in your owners’ manual or on line to synchronize the remote to the unit. (Teach them to talk to each other again).
  3. The best idea is to start your fireplace before a storm hits, gather your family and a board game to make the most of time together!

Cricket on the Hearth is open from 10-6 Monday -Saturday.  Our staff  would be happy to introduce your family to the joys of a new gas fireplace insert!
