Framing Kids’ Works of Art: A Different Approach

Kids’ works of art can be special and amazing pieces to display in the home! (And right now, with so many kids home from school due to forced closures, there is going to be A LOT of new artwork) Many times, colorful mats and frames are incorporated into the custom frame designs, which can be just the right look, especially if the art will be hung in a child’s room or playroom.

But a different approach to share your child’s masterpiece can be to treat it in a more sophisticated way so that it can be displayed in other rooms of the home! Try using a wide white mat and a black frame for colorful drawings, pencil sketches, photography, paintings and more for a “Gallery Look”.

Art on canvas can be beautifully highlighted with a wide frame – try frames with gold, silver or black for a dramatic result. Or if the piece is a collage of leaves and other items from nature try a beautiful wood finished frame to set it off and give it a permanent home in your home.
