One of the most daunting tasks you have when preparing for your move is the packing process.  What should I take?  Where do I begin?  How do I pack these things?  We can’t help you with the first two questions but we can make some suggestions on the last question.  When Wagoner Moving is providing the packing service, we have the knowledge and materials to do the job quickly and professionally.  Having the right material is an essential first step.  A menu of boxes, wrapping paper and tape are the main ingredients.  Wagoner can help you here; we can provide all the standard box sizes, packing paper (try not to use newsprint; so messy!), and tape.  All are available at our facility, just give us a call.

Following is a list of box sizes and their recommended uses:

  • 1.5 cu. ft:               Heavier items:  books, canned goods, hand tools, photo albums, etc.
  • 3.0 cu ft:                Clothing, linens, pots-pans, shoes, plastics, kitchen utensils, toys.
  • 4.5 cu. ft:                Lighter items:  Blankets, clothing, pillows, holiday décor, gift boxes.
  • Wardrobes:             Hanging clothes
  • Dish packs:             China, tableware, kitchen appliances (blender, toaster, etc)

Remember to pack heavier, denser items in smaller containers.  If you have difficulty moving the box, so will we; just use common sense. Always tape the box shut.  No open top boxes!   Your Wagoner Moving representative can provide how-to pamphlets and other tips and advice on packing special items.  Just ask.  We are here to help!
