I work with a like minded clinician who understands the duality of oral – systemic health.  Holistic health considers the whole person.  This concept of who we are is broad and deep.  There are many levels and diverse modalities an individual holistic practitioner may have.  Therefore, as individuals, we may agree or disagree between ourselves regarding the status of an individual patient and the best therapy for them.  One thing you can always find in the holistic health arena is a seeker.  One who seeks knowledge of the “cause” over the “symptom,” I am committed to study and injury each day.  The paradox is, the more I learn, the less I know.  When one is willing to let go of the very limiting dogma, the possibilities are exciting and addicting.  I find it exciting to learn how important, life enhancing, and effective applied nutrition is to one’s well-being.  It is mind -boggling to consider the magnitude of the other life forms that share one human body; even more amazing that we cannot exist without them.  We have by Divine design internal microbiomes that we are just beginning to understand.  There are at the back of your tongue, large papilla around which specific bacterium reside,  When you rinse your mouth with commonly-advertised mouth rinses that purports to kill 99% of all bacterium in your mouth, you kill all bacterium, including specific bacterium that produce nitric oxide, which is critically important in maintaining blood vessel flexibility.  There are countless relationships in the mouth/ body that seek balance.  We should question, seek, and challenge that which does not provide an optimal result, even if it is tradition.
