Steel Warehouse Associates

The David Hirschberg Steel and Recycling Company is a Cincinnati steel supplier who is looking to fill two positions in our new steel warehouse. We are a local company who has served the tri-state area for 102 years. We handle all aspects of the industry from selling different metals, receiving scrap metal, purchasing industrial surplus and operating a full fleet of trucks.

Position Summary:

Full time, first shift position, Monday-Friday with overtime opportunities. Candidates must be able to work late if needed and work rotating Saturdays.

Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 1 yr. experience working with and around various metals. Must be able to identify and accurately pull different size, shape and thickness of material. Previous forklift experience is required. Applicants must have a good attendance record, follow safety procedures, conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times, be a team player, be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Job duties will include, but not limited to:

Loading and unloading trucks

Identify different materials as needed for orders

Operating a horizontal band saw

Operating a forklift

Accurately read a tape measure to ensure proper material is being shipped

Cutting material down using Oxy/Acet torch

Handling customers in a professional, courteous manner

Inventory stock

Separating material that comes off of mill trucks

Ability to lift 50 + lbs.
