Additionally, their materials are more affordable than ones for the other layouts because you won’t need corner cabinets. If you like the streamlined look of long, walk-through kitchens, but don't want to give up hosting, replace one of the runs with an island that includes seating on one side. If there isn’t room for an island, you can add a small peninsula at the end of the run instead.  

2. L-Shaped

The L-shaped layout has two countertops that are perpendicular to each other and adjoined at the corner.
