Instead of keeping  model cars under beds or in closets, why not put them on display? There are several schools of thought when it comes to displaying model cars. Consider these three options before choosing a solution that best fits your collection.

How to Put Model Cars on Display

1. On Open Shelves

If you like handling your cars and rearranging them, set them on open bookshelves. You’ll have the flexibility to display a variety of vehicles alongside other collectibles. Cars will attract some dust if you leave them uncovered, so don’t use open shelves if you’re not willing to do some housekeeping.

2. In Clear Cases

3. In Display Cabinets

Display cabinets—with glass doors—keep dust off cars, too. You can find display cabinets at most furniture stores. Look for a style that accommodates the size of your collection. A cabinet with recessed lights will illuminate the details of your favorite specimens. Some collectors prefer display cabinets with mirrored interiors to achieve a dazzling effect.
