Sponsor-A-Cat, Foster, Adopt: Donors can support our clinic in a truly unique way! Click here for more info:
Sponsor-A-Cat! Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic Sponsor-A-Cat program allows donors to support our clinic is a very unique, impactful way. Your monthly (or annual) tax-deductible donation helps provide food, enrichment, and medical attention to cats waiting to be adopted. When you Sponsor-A-Cat, you will receive a picture and description of a cat that is presently in our care. You will also receive a quarterly letter and updated photo giving you an update on your cat. Want to send your cat a special toy from chewy.com? Awesome – we’ll send you a video of her enjoying it! We also welcome and encourage sponsors to come for a visit with their cat. Your contribution will help us to fulfill a promise we made to our cats long ago – to provide them with optimal health care and unconditional love, just as any “forever home” would!
Sponsor-A-Cat is a great program for anyone who loves cats and cannot have any of their own, or makes a wonderful gift for an animal-lover you truly care about! When you sponsor a cat through Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic as a gift, we will notify the recipient of your kindness and send them a picture of their new feline friend!
Adopt! Only 1 out of 10 cats will find a permanent home… There are simply not enough adoptive homes – each year, approximately 3 million dogs and cats are euthanized because the shelters are at maximum capacity, and pet overpopulation is a growing concern. The number of animals euthanized would be dramatically reduced if more people adopted pets instead of buying them. Are you looking for a specific breed? You’re in luck – 25% of pets in shelters are purebred, surrendered by their previous families. When you adopt, you save a loving animal by making them part of your family and open up shelter space for another animal who desperately needs it.
Foster! Want to make the world a better place in one easy step? Take home a foster pet to love and nurture them until they can be placed in a permanent home! Fostering gives pets who may not thrive in a shelter setting a chance to be healthy and happy, and shows potential adopters what a great personality the animal has in a home setting. Being a foster family can be such an important part of a pet’s journey, and sometimes mean the difference between a pet finding permanent sanctuary, or not.
