Seeking some fresh produce direct from the farm this summer? The western suburbs offer a myriad of choices.

Needham Farmers’ Market is open every Sunday noon to 4 PM through November 22, 2015. They are located in the parking lot behind Needham Bank, Garden Street entrance Needham Center.

September features fresh summer vegetables, cherry tomatoes in all different colors, eggplant, baby eggplant, cucumbers, bell peppers, new potatoes and 40 different kinds of Garlic!

MacArthur Farm will be back with cobs of sweet corn, peaches and tomatoes. Also, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, green, Romano and yellow Beans; beets and golden beets; broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, greens, herbs, kale, swiss chards and collards, lettuces, radish, scallions, and Cousa, Summer and zucchini squash.

In Wellesley, the Farmers’ Market is being generously hosted by the Universal Unitarian Church in Wellesley on Washington Street with the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts acting as fiscal agent. The Wellesley Farmers’ market has a wide variety of local and unique food growers, producers and vendors, as well as afruitn easy to use on-line ordering system with market and home delivery options. The market has plenty of parking, and is a reasonable walk or bike ride from many neighborhoods, bus stops and train station.

Stop by through October to enjoy a variety of just-picked, fresh fruits, vegetables as well as meats, eggs and cheese from local farmers, plus award-winning and unique fine food purveyors.
