The women of Coryell Health would like to encourage you to obtain your mammogram on a yearly basis.

Each of these women with their feet up have survived breast cancer because of yearly preventative screenings.

Breast cancer is one of the most common kinds of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in her lifetime.

The good news is that most women can survive breast cancer if it is found and treated early. A screening mammogram is a radiological test which helps to detect breast cancer , and if done yearly, it can help detect breast cancer in its' early stages.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this is a chance to raise awareness about the importance of finding breast cancer early. Make a difference! Spread the word about mammograms, and encourage communities, organizations, families, and individuals to get involved. Preventative care saves lives and can be done right here in Gatesville.

If you would like to schedule your mammogram, please contact your primary care physician.
