It’s been more than one year since LifeSport Athletic Club launched functional training classes called TFL, an acronym for Training For Life.  TFL classes come in two time variations depending on your needs and schedule.  TFL30, a 30-minute functional training class for beginners or those short on time and TFL60, a 60-minute functional training program for advanced exercisers.  

If you don’t know what functional training is, it’s a way of performing exercises and movements using the whole body that increases your strength, mobility and, cardiovascular capacity.  This type of exercise is important for proper posture and preventing injury when performing similar actions in everyday life.  As you progress, your TFL community pushes you to go beyond your limits to reach for real results.  In one community, there may be a new mom, someone recovering from an injury, a former treadmill-only walker, an office worker who just can not sit for one more minute.  The great thing about the TFL community is no matter where you are on your fitness journey, the focus is on where you are going!  

TFL participants regularly discuss the changes they’ve noticed from their newfound ability to lift objects that couldn’t be lifted before or wearing clothing sizes from many moons ago and the camaraderie of having many “FFF” (favorite fitness friends) to sweat, groan and celebrate with!
