Jaco Waterproofing offers Concrete Sealing. This service often goes unnoticed within our other services offered. Most commonly customers ask Why? or What is that? or How would that benefit me?

Fun Fact : Unsealed concrete naturally absorbs water.  When this water freezes it expands in volume by 9%.  This expansion puts stress on the concrete that causes it to spall and flake.

End of summer into fall is the perfect time to get your concrete sealed before it is too late. As a homeowner you want to make sure to get your driveway or sidewalk sealed before the weather gets too cold.

Many people treat their concrete driveways and sidewalks with salt during the winter. This salt soaks into the concrete. When the temperature drops below the working temperature of the salt, the water refreezes. This water again expands and puts pressure on the concrete and causes it to spall and flake.

Also, the de-icing salt can cause the steel reinforcement in the concrete to corrode. This further weakens the concrete and can cause cracking and failure.

Call Jaco to get on our schedule today before the cold weather approaches us! Feel free to refer to our website for more photos or even call into the office and ask about our brochures that can be sent via mail.
