1. Stay Fit

Being in shape will give them the flexibility and strength to do what their sport demands. Devise a workout regimen with their doctor or coach and make sure they keep up with it year-round. They should start getting in shape well before the season starts so their body is ready when practice comes around.

2. Wear the Appropriate Gear
