When considering a nose job, many people think about surgical rhinoplasty. However, there's a less invasive alternative, called liquid rhinoplasty, that doesn't involve surgery. Additionally, it costs less than a traditional nose job, and there is a limited amount of recovery time. Below, learn what this procedure entails and how it can benefit you.

What Is Liquid Rhinoplasty?

RhinoplastyFiller or Botox is injected into the nose to fix the problem areas. Depending on what the issue is, both filler and Botox may be used during the same procedure. The cost is lower compared to surgical rhinoplasty, and the recovery period is usually less than an hour. However, it's important to note that liquid rhinoplasty has temporary results of between six months and two years. After that point, the procedure can be repeated to achieve the same results once again.

How Is the Procedure Done?

Usually, a topical cream is used to numb the nose before the procedure. If using cream, it typically takes 10 to 15 minutes for it to become sufficiently numb. Next, a needle is used to inject the filler or Botox. Afterward, there may be slight swelling or minimal bruising. In total, the procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, including the time it takes for the nose to numb. Generally, individuals are able to go about their day shortly after the procedure.

What Kind of Issues Can It Address?

The procedure can be used to make a nose look straighter, change the shape of the nostrils, alter the height of the bridge, and fix a multitude of other issues. However, it’s important to remember that it’s not possible for this procedure to make a nose look smaller. For that reason, it’s recommended only for those cases where an individual wants their nose to look bigger or have an altered curve. An added advantage of liquid rhinoplasty is that the use of the fillers is reversible. If you're not happy with how the nose job turned out, the practitioner can inject a solution into the nose to reverse it.
