The company you choose to care for your pet must be fully insured. If your dog or cat suffers injury or illness while they are in another's care, the kennel usually is responsible for the cost of treatment. 4. Which Vaccinations Are Required?

Nearly all reputable kennels require their guests to be vaccinated to prevent the spread of disease. Requirements vary, so find out if your pet has had the necessary shots.
