Avoid chewing anything hard on the anchor itself; gradually work from liquids to soft food, and then to a more varied diet as you heal. It’s imperative that you practice good oral hygiene after both the initial root implant and the full crown have been inserted. This is because implant sites are susceptible to infection and need to stay clean, so brush twice a day and floss as normal.  You should be able to return to work the day following the implant procedure.
