If you receive an email claiming to be from the IRS, do not respond because it’s a scam! The IRS sent a warning today to alert taxpayers and tax preparers about emails from criminals impersonating the IRS. Today’s blog shares an article from Accounting Today about this latest phishing scam.  Remember, the IRS never initiates contact with taxpayers via email, text message or social media to ask for personal or financial information.
