While this event is generally meant for the bride and groom, bringing along extra people makes the decision process easier. Find out from your wedding caterer how many people you’re allowed to bring along and consider inviting your wedding planner, maid of honor or best man, or your parents.

Forget about guests with dietary restrictions.

These are perfectly acceptable to ask for, and since you’ll be paying for it, it’s important that everything is exactly the way you want it.  

Eat too much before you arrive.

The word “tasting” may imply to some that it’s just a small bite. That’s not the case here. You’ll get to sample a wide variety of dishes, and there is no set portion size standard. Basically, come with an appetite.
