Last week, stand-up veteran Bill Burr announced an upcoming appearance at Madison Square Garden on November 14th. He made the announcement via his wildly successful Monday Morning Podcast, which is now one of the most downloaded comedy podcasts on iTunes. Born in Canton, Massachusetts, Burr has climbed the comedy ranks to become one of the most sought-after acts in the industry. Known mostly for riotous specials like Why Do I Do This, Let It Go, You People Are All The Same, and I’m Sorry You Feel That Way, he has grown his audience exponentially, year after year as he has continued to churn out fresh, socially acute material that turns a blind eye and a cold shoulder to the overly-politically-correct climate in today’s media.
On November 14th, Burr will join the likes of comedy legends Eddie Murphy, Andrew Dice Clay, Chris Rock and more recently Aziz Ansari and Kevin Hart. The show will be taped as the comic’s next special, tentatively entitled Bill Burr: Does Anybody Remember Laughter? Needless to say, Madison Square Garden has been home to some of the most legendary performances of any variety to pass through New York in history. From sports championships to once-in-a-lifetime concerts, The Garden epitomizes the highest rung on the entertainment ladder. No one deserves this opportunity and exposure more than Bill Burr, who has grinded his way to this point by simply being one of the funniest and most distinctive minds in comedy for years.
