Parks in Jacksonville, AR, host diverse lineups of events throughout the year. In partnership with other community organizations, the Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department will host the 7th Annual FestiVille at Dupree Park September 27 and 28. The festivities will include fun activities for everyone in the family, including those listed below.   

FestiVille at Dupree Park

Friday, September 27, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, September 28, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Carnival until 10 p.m. both days

parkThe park will be bustling with activity in late September when it transforms into a sprawling event space for FestiVille. The occasion will include a canoe rides, live entertainment, a shooting exhibition, bingo, a petting zoo, and a kids’ area with activities for little ones.

To stay in shape while having a blast, attendees can participate in the volleyball tournament or the 3-on-3 basketball competition— be sure to register in advance. They can also pick up keepsakes at vendor booths and refuel with sweet and savory selections from the many food trucks stationed throughout the event venue. A carnival complete with rides and games will take place each day at the park until 10 p.m., with a breathtaking fireworks show on Friday evening. Admission and parking are free, with charges for rides and some activities.
