Make sure your kids brush their teeth twice a day and floss at least once a day. Depending on their age, they may need help with both tasks. No matter how old they are, they may still need the occasional reminder. You should also ask them periodically if they have any tooth sensitivity or notice bleeding when they floss. Finally, check in with their dentist after every exam to confirm their gums aren’t inflamed. If there is any inflammation, prompt intervention can stop the condition from progressing to gum disease.
