Being a member of a church is more than practicing faith; it’s feeling part of something larger than yourself and being welcomed into a family who values the same ideals. Becoming involved in the church’s activities allows you to give back to the local community and feel connected as well as strengthen your faith. If you’re keen to do more with the congregation, here are some ways you can participate.

3 Ways to Do More With the Church

1. Sing With the Choir

Joining the church choir is an excellent idea if you enjoy or have a talent for music. Singing or playing music with a group can be a joyful, uplifting, and fun experience that brings cheer to others. Find out if your church has a choir, and if not, start one.

2. Join a Mission

A mission is an organized effort to spread the Christian faith, and it’s typically done abroad. During a mission trip, you’ll teach others about the Word and deepen your relationship with God. By explaining the Bible to others, you’ll strengthen your faith, and hopefully, instill faith in others.

3. Participate in Bible Study

churchGroup Bible study will help you understand passages and dig into the deeper meaning of the Lord’s lessons. A group setting will provide a fresh perspective on scriptures and teach you how to apply these lessons in your everyday life. Find out if your church holds specific study groups for children, teenagers, females, and males.

If you want to join a congregation, head to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Honolulu, HI. From feeding the homeless to conducting youth outreach projects, this church has served the local community for the past 60 years. They also hold weekly Bible studies and have special groups for adult men and women as well as mothers. Learn more about their Sunday sermons online, or call (808) 922-6011 to inquire about choir rehearsals.
