Congratulations! You have purchased Madison Vinyl windows and have received the call that we have scheduled you for installation.  Now what?  Here are a few things you can do to prepare for installation and help the crew for when they arrive!

Clean Up

As the installers work on each window they will need to haul tools, cords and window panes in and out of your home, and to do that they need space and clear pathways.  To help our crews out, do what you can to clear the space and remove obstacles including anything that might trip them up like rugs or loose items in the hallways.  It also helps to keep pets away so they are safe during the installation.

Make Space

Installers need to be able to reach the space around your windows, from both in and outside.  To help make the day go by easier for our crew, please move furniture and other items away from the windows.

Take It Down

Please remove any window dressings or decorations such as blinds, drapes, curtains or shades from the windows.  You should also remove any pictures hanging on walls by your windows as well.  The vibrations from window removal and installation could knock them off the walls.

Make Outlets Accessible

This isn’t something one would think of but is very helpful for the installation crews.  If they have easy access to your outlets they can work quickly and efficiently without having to search everywhere or move things around to plug in their tools.

Give them Access

If you have any security detectors on your windows or doors please make sure you notify your security company about the installation.  They can then deactivate your system and re-activate it when your new windows or doors are in place.  You’ll also want to be home to be able to let our crews in.
