Pizza is a crowd-pleaser that can satisfy people of different ages and diets. Everyone has a favorite toppings combo, and many also have a preferred way of reheating leftover slices. While doing so in the microwave is a popular option, it may make the crust soggy. If you’re looking for a better method, here are a few techniques for reheating pizza without losing its crispiness.

How Should I Reheat My Pizza?

1. In the Oven

Fans of crispy crusts tend to trust the tried-and-true method of reheating pizza in the oven. The heat is applied evenly this way, creating a dry crust that cannot be replicated with the microwave. The only downside to this technique is that it takes the longest– often 15 minutes for preheating to around 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and five to 10 minutes to warm a single slice.

2. In a Waffle Iron pizza

If you’re starving and don’t want to put in much work, reheat your slice in a waffle iron. Place the piece in the grid area and push down the top. You’ll have plenty of time to queue up your favorite on-demand show as you wait for the light to indicate that the pizza waffle is ready. This may flatten the piece slightly, so it’s best left for pizzas with few toppings.

3. In a Pan

Some people prefer to place a few pieces of their favorite pie in a preheated cast iron or nonstick pan. When the cheese starts melting, amp up the heat to medium and flip the slice to place the toppings face-down. The slice will be ready in about five minutes. If you want to make the dough softer, add a little water to the skillet.
