What Is Songs4Soldiers?

Returning home is a relief for soldiers and their families, though it’s just the beginning of a transition back to civilian life. Veterans may not be in the same position to support their families, and the bills and unexpected expenses can start piling up—especially if there’s a gap in their insurance. Whether they need a new car or emergency dental surgery, Songs4Soldiers helps these families cover the cost.

The organization is partnering with community groups and businesses to present two nights of music, food, and fun in Bolm-Schuhkraft City Park, Columbia, IL. On Friday, September 6, doors open at 6 p.m., and on Saturday, September 7, they open at 1:30 p.m. Between the two days, you can enjoy music from 10 different acts, all thanks to KSHE 95 and New Country 92.3.  In addition to concerts, there will also be delicious refreshments, and veterans and children under 12 are welcome for free.

If you want to contribute to this cause, all you have to do is buy a ticket to this long-awaited event. Buy a general admission pass for some fun after work on Friday, a Saturday pass to get your weekend rolling, or a pass for both days.
