2. Baking Soda

Like ammonia, baking soda has a reputation for resolving most household cleaning needs. For tough soap scum buildups, mix baking soda and sodium borate—commonly known as Borax. Combine with water to create a paste. You can then apply it to the shower door to loosen the soap scum. Wipe or rinse it away and dry the surface after to remove any lingering particles and prevent streaks.

3. White Vinegar

Start with a hot shower. The heat and steam will help first loosen the soap scum. Then, spray a must of undiluted white vinegar on the shower door and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. After, apply baking soda to the vinegar. Scrub as the solution fizzes and add more baking soda as needed. Avoid using vinegar alongside chlorine-based bleach cleaners, as these can be toxic when combined.
