Sign Language Connection is proud to support the work of Deaf Refugee Advocacy in welcoming and assisting people who come to Rochester from all over the world. Rochester is now home to Deaf immigrants and refugees from Sudan, Eritrea, Nepal, Bhutan, Egypt, Syria, Russia, Italy, Viet Nam and more. Sign Language Connection hires teams of American Deaf, Hearing and foreign Deaf interpreters to assist in the communication process in medical, legal, educational environments. We are strong supporters of the first Deaf Refugee Conference to be held in Rochester at the end of June.
