To facilitate the unpacking process, box your items according to categories like “books” and “silverware.” Label your boxes clearly so you can find everything you need when the movers deliver your boxes.

3. Bag Your Clothes

To do this, wrap a garbage bag around your items while they’re still hanging and tie the bag around the top of the hangers. When your movers drop off your belongings, hang up the clothes in the closet and cut off the garbage bag.
