What Should You Expect for Your First Paint & Sip Party? June 27, 2019

What Should You Expect for Your First Paint & Sip Party?, ,

Paint and sip parties are an excellent way to unwind, have fun, and enjoy some creative freedom in the process. However, if you’ve never attended a wine painting party before, you may be unsure of what to expect. Whether you’re considering one of these soirees for an upcoming special occasion in your life or you’ll be attending as a guest, here’s what you can expect from your first sip and paint experience.

What Types of Materials Should You Bring?

At the event, the studio hosting your wine painting party will provide all of the art supplies. This will include the easel, paints and paintbrushes, aprons, and canvases. They’ll also provide an instructor, who will teach your group how to paint a picture you’ve chosen or the studio has provided for you. If members of your group are over the age of 21, you can also bring your own beer or wine.

How Does the Lesson Work?

wine painting partyOnce everyone has arrived and gathered their materials, the instructor will begin showing guests how to create their own version of the chosen image. No previous painting experience is necessary. The instructor will go over basics like mixing colors, along with some more technical details, such as which types of brush strokes to use. They can even help guests customize their paintings. Class lengths may vary depending on the painting chosen, but in general, the entire class typically takes two to three hours.

Does the Painter Bring Home Their Work?

Once your wine painting party concludes, guests will have the opportunity to bring home their finished works of art. While the shared learning experience can bring friends, co-workers, and family members together, it’s also a great opportunity to help new artists become comfortable with painting. At the end of the event, guests feel relaxed and accomplished and sometimes ready to book another session right away.
