Aloha Everyone! All of us here at Wave Builders want to wish you all a safe and fun summer. Here in Hawaii its easy for us to get complacent because we live in such a beautiful place and forget that Hurricane season just started. I’m guilty too of thinking it'll never hit us, or “ were such a small target the odds are so small”. Well here at Wave Builders we want to encourage you and your Ohana to be prepared this hurricane season. Every home should have at least 1 gallon of water per person for at least 3 days. At least a 3 day supply of non-perishable food. Battery powered or hand crank radicand a NOAA weather radio with tone alert. Flashlights and extra batteries for all emergency supplies that require them. A first aid kit and if you or a family member requires daily medication, you should have at least a 7 day supply. When power is cut off its hard to tell how long until its restored so a good idea is to fill up your vehicles and always have some extra cash on hand. The thing that sets Hawaii apart from the rest of the world is our Aloha spirit, and in times of crisis is when it is most evident. So during this season stay vigilant and alert and if we do see a storm come our way be prepared to take care of your Ohana and those who cannot or are less fortunate than us.
