At their bright, welcoming learning centers in Staten Island and Brooklyn, FasTracKids / Eye Level Learning Center has been helping kids improve, succeed, and achieve in both measurable and surprising ways! Engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and teams of professionally trained educators offer test prep, gifted and talented, and academic enrichment programs, which have resulted in marked improvement for many young students. Improvement at FasTracKids is measured in more than test scores; it is the passion for learning and vital critical thinking skills kids acquire that are the true indicators of an enrichment program's success.

Franco Verdino, director at the Staten Island learning center location, has seen many kids and parents (even many siblings) pass through his doors on the path to academic success. He makes note of the stories that stand out to him, including the following experience, which demonstrates the power of the FasTracKids difference:

Based on a friend’s referral, Sophia had her first look at the learning center before she was even three years old. Sophia and her mother stopped by on a Saturday morning to learn more about the program during a trial class. Sophia was extremely shy and wary of leaving her mother’s side, so the first class was a bit of a disaster. After Franco took the time to explain the importance of higher-level learning, communication, leadership skills, critical thinking, vocabulary, knowledge development, and concentration skills, Sophia’s mother and her friend Mrs. Kwan decided to do a second trial class.

At the second trial class, Mrs. Kwan enrolled her son for two full years on the spot, hoping to convince Sophia’s mother to do the same. Mrs. Luo enrolled her daughter relatively reluctantly, but after several trying months, Sophia developed a trusting relationship with her teacher Mrs. Michelle. During her second year in the program, just as she was really hitting her strike, Sophia set out to take the NYC G&T Entrance Exam. At her graduation from the FasTracKids Program, Sophia’s mother told the learning center that her daughter scored a 99% on the test!

Sophia was able to apply to coveted citywide spots in Manhattan, and was accepted to Nest +M. She continues to prepare for a rigorous academic life at the learning center’s Eye Level programs, and is currently performing two to three grade levels above her peers academically. Mrs. Kwan’s son passed the G&T exam, as well and happily joined Sophia at FasTracKids / Eye Level Learning Center for continued academic enrichment in the Eye Level programs.
