2. Scuff Marks

These dark marks are usually caused by shoes, bags, or furniture, so you’ll likely see them waist height or lower. In some cases, you may be able to remove scuff marks with a clean eraser. If this doesn’t work, wet and wring out a sponge, sprinkle baking soda on it, and scrub the scuff mark away. If the mark was caused by shoe polish or a similar substance, your best bet is to purchase a dry cleaning solvent and wipe it over the spot with a soft cloth.

It’s better to start off small with a gentle dishwashing solution before using the rough side of the sponge and a stronger all-purpose cleaner.
